Dunlap, Tennessee, nestled in the scenic Sequtchie Valley, is a charming town with a rich history and abundant natural beauty, located in the southeastern part of the state. It sits at the western base of the Cumberland Plateau, surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque countryside. The town is conveniently situated about halfway between Chattanooga to the south and Cookeville to the north.  The town's early growth was fueled by its location along the Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad, which facilitated trade and transportation in the region.  Throughout its history, Dunlap has been shaped by agriculture, mining, and logging industries, with remnants of these activities such as local events, festivals, and gatherings fostering a sense of belonging among its residents.
