Christen Woody was born in Bowling Green, KY where she lived until the age of 5. She then moved to Chattanooga where she became a third-generation Chattanoogan. Raised in the East Brainerd area, Christen graduated from Ooltewah High School where she was a cheerleader and track/field athlete. Throughout early high school and college, Christen worked for nearly a decade in the restaurant industry where she met her husband, Nathan. She attended the University of TN at Chattanooga and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She worked as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist for 2 years. After that, she went back to school at Chattanooga State Community College to gain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, which she has practiced for over 10 years.
Over the course of a decade, Christen & her husband bought & remodeled a historic home in St Elmo. It was then that she fell in love with homes and creating something beautiful from something begging for love and care! After the birth of their son, they outgrew their beloved first home and were introduced to The Lawrence Team. The team assisted in the sell of their St Elmo home and the purchase of their current home in Signal Mountain, where they now reside with their son & daughter.
With backgrounds in both the service industry and healthcare, Christen is no stranger to building personal relationships and having exceptional work ethic and compassion for others. She has gained so much experience throughout the years in completing their DIY home renovation (while living in it!). These skills have also carried over to their current home where they continue to complete never-ending projects.
